Why are your 15 x 18 Platens such a big deal?
Good question!
The maximum print area is determined by the size of your shirtboard or 'platen'.
Some models on the market have platens as small as 10x15. Realistically, you
won't be able to print much wider than 9" on a press like that! The generous
platen size of Teeshirtprinters.com platens allows you to print a large area
of the front or back of the shirt.
Another benefit of the larger platens we use may not be as obvious. A larger
platen makes it easier to see how the shirt is lined up on the platen. This
means it is easier to line up the shirt properly. You save time as well as money
because your shirts will be printed squarely, consistently, with less spoilage.
Printing on smaller platens could lead to frustration!
See our online store for other platens that will allow you to print on shirt
legs, pant legs, and hats!
